Return requests
Customers may request a return within 14 days after delivery by contacting TRADING INITIATIVES LLC at hello@tradinginitiatives.com with the order number, item, and reason for the request. This return period applies to purchases through our online store, subject to the additional statutory rights described below. We will reply with the instructions for the particular item. Do not send furniture to our Casper business contact address unless we have confirmed that address for that return.
United States: change-of-mind returns
For a change-of-mind return in the United States, the item should be unused and unassembled, with its included components, and packaged to prevent damage during the return journey. Please contact us within 14 days after delivery. After reviewing the request, we will explain the return destination and method. The customer pays the cost of shipping a change-of-mind return to us. We do not charge a separate restocking fee. The original delivery charge is not refunded for an ordinary change-of-mind return unless required by law or stated otherwise for the order.
European Union: right of withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union who buy online generally have the right to withdraw from the purchase without giving a reason within 14 days after receiving the goods. You may also notify us that you withdraw before the goods are delivered. To exercise this right, send a clear statement identifying yourself and the order to hello@tradinginitiatives.com, or use an available return or cancellation function in your customer account. Send the request before the withdrawal period expires. You then have 14 days after notifying us to send the goods back, unless we agree on another collection method.
For a withdrawal, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of sending the item back, except where applicable law or an express agreement requires us to pay. Large furniture may require a special shipping arrangement; contact us before sending it so we can provide a suitable return destination and explain the available method and cost. You may handle the item as needed to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning; you may be responsible for any loss of value caused by handling beyond that. Where a statutory exception applies to a genuinely made-to-order or clearly personalised item, it will be identified before the purchase; merely being a desk or another large piece of furniture does not itself remove withdrawal rights.
For a valid EU withdrawal, we will refund the payment for the returned item and any standard outbound delivery charge included in that purchase as required by law. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods or received evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first, where the law permits. Refunds will be initiated within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notice, subject to that lawful withholding rule, and issued to the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. Additional rights under the law of your country remain unaffected.
Damaged, incorrect, or faulty furniture
If you receive an item that is damaged, faulty, incomplete, or different from the product ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably possible and include the order number and a description. Photographs can help us review the matter when available. We will explain the appropriate remedy in line with applicable consumer rights, which can include repair, replacement, a price adjustment, or a refund depending on the circumstances and governing law. The customer will not be asked to pay a return charge that applicable law requires us to bear for a faulty or wrongly supplied item. These rights are separate from change-of-mind returns.
Refunds and exchanges
For an eligible non-EU change-of-mind return, we will inspect the returned item and initiate any approved refund within 14 days of receiving it, to the original payment method. The time it takes for funds to appear can depend on the payment provider. For an item we cannot supply, we will refund any collected payment as required by law. If you would like a different item, ask us about returning the original item if eligible and place a separate order for the replacement; prices and availability may differ.
